Gap between machine and quilt

Recommended Posts

How much of a gap should there be between the machine and the quilt (I have a Lenni)

I mean when you look at the roller and you can see the extended base underneath, how much gap should there be between the quilt and the base?

I looked at it today and thought, that gap wasn't that big before - or maybe I am just going crazy !

I hope that question makes sense.

Thanks, I think mine is a bit higher than that Heidi, I can't really adjust it too much on the Lenni, but as my extended base was fitting tightly under one side of the top bar I untightened and retightened my side arm on that side, and maybe I am imagining the change..... LOL...

Janette, I just checked the spacing, on my lenni with a quilt on it. The space between the fabric and the hopping foot is very very little!

I also have my Penny the Lenni.

Thanks Rita, but it is the space below the quilt that I mean at the back of the machine. Can you fit your fingers under that gap?
