qwltnldy
I have a quilt to do with Hobbs Heirloom Premium Wool. Have never done one with wool and am reading up on it. (Finally learned my lesson, read first, quilt last!) Anyway, this batt came to me in the package and it is horribly wrinkled. Does anyone have a good method for getting them to relax, at least a little? I have it hanging over my balcony at the moment but wondered if there were other options. Something that someone has actually tried and works. Thanks! Robin
lkl
I put wrinkled batting the clothes dryer on air only (no heat) for 30 minutes. If the batting is still wrinkled I will put a damp hand towel in with the batting and set the dryer on the lowest heat selection then run it for another 30 minutes. Works every time and comes out wrinkle free. I used this method with some Matilda's wool batting recently and 3 metres of Warm and Natural batting this morning. Sandra Darlington
I put mine in the dryer with low heat for about 5 minutes. A bit of heat seems to get the wrinkles out in a few minutes. I take the batting out immediately, while still warm, and drape it over my LA till is is cool. Usually, no wrinkles.
