Something seems off with my Bliss table. Today I used a laser level to check it a from a few different spots, and it seems that the table is "unsquare" by about 3/8" to 1/2" from one end to the other. I can't find any instructions or guidelines on how to remedy this. Any suggestions? Thanks!

I just looked at the APQS store - the SuperBob bobbins are 12 for $10.50 and the Magna-Glide are 2 for $11.95. And cream-colored bobbins are available in Magna-Glide.

I don't know where you are looking for bobbins, so I can't specifically answer your questions, but my guess would be the $10.50 is for 10 bobbins. Most places do carry cream or off-white bobbins, so it could be they are currently out of stock if you can't find them. As to your second question, I did a quilt like that and had no problem with the thread shredding, but it might help if you use a ball point needle. I don't know if that's the problem in this case, but it sounds as though you've tried everything else!

I use FB a lot, but my preference is the forum. Somehow FB just seems so impersonal.

It's beautiful, and I love your choice of pantos for this one.

Gwen, I will send you an email message.

Gwen, I have a PPS for an APQS Millenium with a Bliss Table. If that would work for you, I would sell it for $200. I added a computer to my machine, so I don't need it any longer. I really liked the control the PPS gave me and would recommend it to anyone who is looking for more control with their pantos.
If you're interested, let me know.

I started out using zippers, then switched to Red Snappers. I liked them, but as a couple of people have said, they sometimes got in the way, particularly if the backing was a little shorter than we'd like. After using them for a year or so, I went back to zippers. I don't mind the pinning time - but don't like getting stuck once in a while! All in all, as much as I liked the Snappers, I prefer zippers, so I sold mine.

I saw a picture of that quilt shortly after I started quilting - and I immediately fell in love. The magazine (QNM maybe?) is long gone, but I kept the picture for a very long time.
My curiosity got the better of me, so I just went to see if I still had it. Yep, I do! It's just the picture of the quilt, though, not the whole page from the magazine, so I don't know for sure how old it is. I still haven't made the quilt, but maybe some day!
Bliss Table Not Square?

Thanks, Jim. The table was not square, and you are right - I had to loosen the bolts and "force" it to square it up. Thanks!
