  1. I'm stitching my 2nd quilt on my brand spanking new Millie 30, and loving it!  However, while I was basting the bottom border I realized there is a light green stain on the solid white (of course!) border fabric.  It looks, and smells (ick), like the grease used to pack the gears.  But this machine is fresh from the factory, and I can't find a leak anywhere.  I have 2 questions:  (1.) Assuming this is packing grease, what's the best way to remove the stain?  And (2.) Any thoughts where this came from?  I've been changing bobbins of course but otherwise have only been working at the handles and changing thread.  Thank you!

  2. Business has picked up, so I'm upgrading to a new larger capacity machine and looking for a new home for "Irene" (she's named after my grandmother, a quilter).  I'm her 2nd owner (bought in 2011), the first owner passed away shortly after purchase and didn't use her.  She's in good condition having been meticulously maintained, including a full factory "spa treatment" in 2017.  Owner's manual included plus these features and add-ons:

    • 14-foot table
    • Bliss upgrade
    • Motorized advance with foot pedal
    • "L" size bobbin
    • Laser light for pantographs
    • Needle up/down
    • Vertical/horizontal channel locks
    • Thread cutter
    • Bobbin winder

Located in the San Francisco Bay Area (Novato, CA 94945).  Not interested in trades, serious inquiries only please.  Test drive available by appointment.  Pick-up only, no shipping.  We have a box for the machine head (only).  We will assist with disassembly, you will be responsible for loading and packing.

I'm going to miss Irene, she's a reliable and stalwart machine.
