  1. Where do you buy your bobbins? I do not have a business but would like to keep them on hand because I do quilts for some of my friends.
  2. Aren't the classics a finer thread? When I ordered my fist bunch of thread I bought glide for the top and so fine for the bottom. This was what someone recommended to me. I have always had tension problems with it so I put glide on top and glide in the bobbin and I never had a problem with that combo. I have always filled my own bobbins but they run out quickly.
  3. When I use glide thread and so fine in my bobbin (I wind my own bobbins) and glade for the top I always have tension problems. When I use glide in my bobbin (I wind my own bobbin) my tensions is good. I am concerned if I use glide in the top and buy the Magna glide classic pre wound bobbins I am concerned that I will have tension problems. Not knowing the differents in the thread I ordered the delights to try out. I have a king size quilt that I am going to use them on (when I get them). Where do you buy your bobbins?
  4. Thank you all for your comments. I have just ordered some for a king size quilt I will be doing. Can not wait for them to get here so I can try them.
  5. Just wanted to get some feedback on the magna bobbins by glide. I have never used them and wanted to give them a try if I got some good reviews on here. Also is there more thread on these bobbins than if I were to wind my own bobbins. And has anyone had bad experiences with them. Thank you ahead of time for taking the time to read this.
  6. Thank you very much for the attached PDF file. I have been oiling very similar so now I know how to do it the right way now. Thank you again for your help.
  7. If you mean the manual on the pen drive, my computer will not open it. Not sure why it does not work.
  8. How do you oil the bobbin area. Is there a video to show where exactly to oil it.
  9. Rita, So sorry to here this news about you. I will certainly be praying for you and also praying that some procedure will come along that will be just what you need. Our God is in control. Lots of prayers going out for you. Although the I am a fairly new quilter I have enjoyed this forum and all the help I have received even without asking a question. When I have a problem I look it up on here and find out someone has also had the same problem, so I learn from what others have posted. This is a great family on this forum and I am very thankful for the all. Sheila
  10. I did my quilt with the minki and nubs and it came out wonderful. The customer loved it as well? I did not take a picture and now I wish I had. I should keep a book with pictures of all the quilt I do for customers.
  11. Libby, You do such a wonderful job. I love your quilting.
  12. When you get a new apqs machine do you have to cut your canvas leader straight so you are assured a nice straight canvas? I did not do that when I got my new lenni and the canvas is not straight.
  13. I am glad I am not the only one. I have three lights over my machine and will try turning the one off and see it it helps. Maybe I need to wear my sunglasses while quilting! Thank you all for replying.
  14. Does anyone have a problem with the overhead light glare on the pantogragh plastic? Mine has a pretty good amount of glare and it is really hard on the eyes. Is there anything I can do to get rid of the glare? Any help is appreciated.
  15. When I am using my Lenni it starts stitching good and every now and then the stitches start looking bad. I have inserted a picture so you could see what it looks like. Does anyone know what the problem is and how I can correct it?
  16. Thank you ladies for the comments. I have quilted one quilt using smooth minky and I had great results with that one, and I did load it salvage to salvage. So glad the nubs will not have did divulge with this one. Thank you again. Love being able to get answers from quilters on this site.
  17. I have a person that wants me to quilt her quilt and the backing is cuddle cloth (or minky) and it has nubs on it. My question is will these nubs get caught on the machine as it glides over these nubs?
  18. Libby, I am amazed at the beautiful quilting you did on this quilt. You are so talented.
  19. I used minky on my Lenni for the first time today. I was a little nervous at first because I had never used it and it was a friends quilt I was doing. I do not have a bliss table and with the minki I was amazed at how Lenni seemed to glide over the fabric. I wish Lenni would glide like this over my cotton quilts. I will be using minky again.
  20. I have two pieces of cuddle cloth (I can not think of the real name of it) that was given to me by a friend who wants me to make a quilt out of it for her grandson and her cuddle time together. Both fabric is 58 inches by 61 inches. I have never used this cloth in my quilts and I am not sure what to put with it. I would like to cut it up and try to put some colored fabric with it. Do I need to use the same cuddle cloth or would cotton be okay to use. Looking forward to your suggestions.
  21. Thank you all for the great tips and advice. I will keep the quilt at a good working size. It is so nice to be able to get good advice and help on this forum. Thank you again.
  22. I was told the same but was wondering if the 12 foot gave you any problems when you were getting to 119.5 inches. Depending on the drop you want on the quilt could take it right up to the 120 inches. I am glad that I got the 12 foot table even though I do not do king size quilts very often it is nice to know I can.
  23. Does anyone know what the largest size quilt I can quilt on my 12 foot table? My son wants a king size quilt but not sure if Lenni and my 12 foot table can handle it.
