little metal disk in the bobin case

HEEELLLPP! have george machine and a little metal disk inside the bobin case jumped out. have no idea how to put it back in. no instructions or picture in the skimpy handbook. any idea where I can get instruction about it?

thanks a million - am stuck, can't quilt :mad:

Veronika,

That little disk is called a backlash spring. If you look at it from the edge, the little "fingers" that are near the center should stick up (or down). Set the disk back into the bobbin case with the fingers pointing "up" and the half-circle lined up with the half-circle in the bobbin case. Press down gently around the edge of the spring with a small screwdriver (or other small implement) until it clicks back down into the bottom of the bobbin case. You should be set to go back to quilting!

This is one of those cases where a spare bobbin case is a good thing to have!;)
