mcmullen
I was given this charity quilt top to quilt. Unable to post a photo. It is a 9 patch scrappy top with each completed block approx. 10.5 in. square.Problem is that few of the blocks are really square-3.5 in. squares are not square.Top has no border/sash. How in the world am I going to quilt this? I have some pantos and can do some freehand design. Not good at feathers yet.Still need to ppp those.I wanted to do pumpkin seeds but nothing matches. Will definitely have to use Bonnie,s ss method for fullness. Thanks.
Quilting Heidi
You could do terry twists and those won't really stand out if it doesn't match. The best option is probably a panto though or do an e2e design freehand.
ffq-lar
Perhaps try a squiggle through the diagonals. You can do every diagonal, or every-other one depending on how dense they want the stitching. A squiggle is very forgiving with uneven piecing and looks good on scrappy tops--at it looks great on the back. Just a thought.
