LauraJ
Speeding up the stitching but slowing down the movement of the sewing head when doing free motion? Curious minds want to know (my mind!) Thanks
veg-girl
If you are not using the stitch regulator you will get smoother curves and everything is less jerky if your speed is higher because your stitch will be much shorter.
LauraJ
I use the SR but find that when I have to something with a point - the thread pulls a bit on the top. Probably a tension issue no doubt but was wondering what others do with speed and stitch length.
Quilting Heidi
Laura, When in SR mode speed doesn't play into the stitch, only stitch length. I prefer to use a 13 - 15 when doing curvy stuff with SR on. It gives you smother curves. It souldn't to me like your top tension is a little too tight. Also try to pause for a nan-second at the point and see if that helps. The key is really smoth none jerky movements.
