Simple but sweet. You didn't mention the border. But you did say that the quilt was big, so then I would SID black entire quilt and roll back to top. That way you are done with the black thread. Then do the blockwork, flower and crosshatch in the hot pink. I think the pink will make it sing. I hope you will show us a photo of the completed project.
