starmona
I have the spool holder for my Millie but am wondering where it is mounted. I've seen one picture with it mounted at the front of the machine and am wondering if you have to take the thread back to the hook above the cone holder and thread it from there. If so, can I just mount it on the back of the machine. If not, what path do you use to thread it. I will be using mono poly, but could be using other threads in the future. I have looked all over the APQS site for information on this and can't find any. Thanks. Romona
Hollyrw
I have mine on the front of the machine and I do not take the thread back to the hook above the cone holder. I just thread it forward from where the holder is.
starmona
Thanks Holly. I will get it on the machine today and hope I can get the tension right without too much trouble. Romona
Mary Beth
Romona, I was listening to Mark at MQS tell someone that you start at the thread guide closest to the spool holder and go from there. You don't need to go to the back and then forward. Also, if it is the horizontal thread holder, I have read where others have mounted theirs right above the "M" on the word Millie. I mounted mine before I read that, so mine is above the "L's" and it works fine.
Sandra Darlington
Mine is mounted even closer to the front. I go down to the three hole tensioner that is just above the tension discs.
