LinneaMarie
Ok, I tightened my hook assembly. Everything went well til I turned the machine on, and the hook assembly does NOT want to move. It feels very TIGHT! What did I do wrong?? And how can I fix it?? Thanks!! ffq-lar
I am confused with your statement. How did you tighten your hook assembly? If you adjusted the bobbin assembly (as in you did a mini timing adjustment) make sure the hook retaining finger is correctly positioned. It is that finger that is put on last and keeps the bobbin assembly from spinning. It should be into the groove only far enough to stop the rotation of the assembly. If it is in too far the thread cannot pass in front of the assembly and will break. If that is not where the problem lies, I'm out of ideas. LinneaMarie
No ,I mean I tightened up the black collar against the brass shaft. I undid the set screw a tiny, teeny smidgen and it works fine now. Thanks:P:P
