My leaders had a pleat rolled into them when I first got my machine and still have the pleats cause I've not been able to steam them out...when I roll it back up the pleats are right back. I've learned to work with them but have noticed that the edges that I pin to all the time are getting distorted. I thought about taking them off and washing them and putting them back on but not sure if that's a good idea. As for the zippers, I still don't have those cause I'm not sure how to use them. LeeAnn Posted February 2, 2010 Report Share Posted February 2, 2010 I wouldn't wash my leaders as I think they may shrink terribly. but they may be worth replacing if you have a pleat in them. i think it would make it hard to get a quilt rolled on correctly.
