Butterfly
Hi, Every time I go from right to left while basting or SIDing, the thread shreds like crazy after about a foot or so of sewing. What generally causes this? I've had this problem for about three weeks and can't figure out what I must be doing differently. Jessica
LinneaMarie
I found a bigger needle helps, even tho the thread may be thin. I always use a 4.0 or 4.5 with Rainbows and Lava threads. Same as King Tut. Works for me, maybe not everyone. JMHO :P
ffq-lar
It can be shredding at the needle (change out/change size) or you may have a burr or groove on that last pigtail. If you are basting, speed may be an issue. But SID is slow (at least for ME!!) so I don't have a clue there. Good luck on your search for a solution.
