The thread kept breaking so I changed the needle and when I push the button for needle down it goes down but won't come back up when I predss it again. It kind of tries to go sideways to the left. doodlebug Posted May 20, 2010 Report Share Posted May 20, 2010 sound like hitting the pin threw off your timing and the needle is getting stuck in the bobbin assembly/basket....unplug your machine, take the cover plate off and maunally rotate the fly wheel to see if it's hitting....directions for retiming (if ya needta) are in the manual.... good luck p.s. you didn;t break your millie....they are tough ole birds...
