Pam C
I am a longarm quilter. I have some pantographs I designed. I would like to know if anyone out there would know how to copyright them and get them printed on the long rolls of paper, so I could market them. Please Reply. Jess
By signing it, as an artist, it is automatically copyrighted. But if you really want the most legally binding protection than you can send in a copyright form. Here is the answer that I found to the question of 'when is your work copyrighted' on www.lawyers.com "Your work is under copyright protection the moment it is created and fixed in a tangible form so that it is perceptible either directly or with the aid of a machine or device." I found the following website with a lot of information and links: http://www.law.cornell.edu/topics/copyright.html and I also found a site at www.lawyers.com that had alot info, below is the info on obtaining forms that I found: You may get forms from the U.S. Copyright Office in person, by mailing in a request, or by calling the 24-hours-per-day forms hotline: (202) 707-9100. Some public libraries may also carry these forms.
