yankiequilter
My brother and SIL were just here for a visit and they brought their favorite recipe for me to use for our leftover turkey. It is so quick and tasty. Chow Mein 3/4 lb. meat 1/2 cup onion 1 cup celery 1 cup water 1 bullion cube 1 can Chinese vegetables (chop suey) 1 can chicken rice soup 2 TBSP soy sauce 1 TBSP molasses Simmer 20 minutes Thicken with 1/3 cup cold water and 6 TBSP corn starch Serve over rice and chow mein noodles. If you like, also add water chestnuts, bamboo shoots or sliced mushrooms. The meat could be turkey, chicken, beef or pork. Enjoy! Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
