Bonnie in Ok
Have a question about selling a quilt that I made in someone elses shop. I have one that is from Carol Doaks 50 fabulous paper pieced stars book. I am not planning on mass producing this pattern but maybe make two or three quilts with that type design and the store owner wanted to sell them. Is this possible using someone elses pattern design? Know these things are complicated and don't want to get in to trouble with the copywrite laws.
quiltmonkey
I would google Carol Doak, (she has a web site) and send her an email explaining your plan. I would also offer to list the source of the designs (Carol Doak) on the quilt label and advertisement sign at the quilt shop. I would venture to bet she says OK. It's always a nice gesture to ask permission rather than beg for forgiveness.
