cblevins
I know several people have said they like the Hobbs poly down a lot. What about the Hobbs cloud loft?
yankiequilter
I haven't tried the cloud loft. I do like the Polydown quite a bit, as well as their 80/20. I think Lyn Heilman has a special right now so this could be a good time to try new things. I've ordered from her several times and she is great to work with. http://www.quiltedmemoriesllc.com/ Edited to add: I have a chart from Hobbs, following is what is said about Cloudloft: Resin Bonded Poly, aproximate loft 1/2" - 5/8", max. distance between stitches 6", fair for hand quilting, excellent for machine quilting, fair pre-test for dark fabrics, excellent for light fabrics. Polydown shows resin bonded poly, siliconized fibers, 1/4" approximate loft, max distance between stitches 4", excelent for hand quilting, excellent for machine quilting, fair pre test for dark fabrics, excellent for light fabrics. Both show no shrinkage. Hope that helps.
