Sew, rather then try to re-create what I originally wrote, can you tell us what *type* of quilting you want to concentrate on? IE: freehand, panto, custom??? Thank you. Not the stipple around the leave vine but what's on top of the border in the picture. I would do that in the background, stitch in the ditch around the butterfly. Then in the butterfly wings, I would use a metallic gold thread and do spikey things into the wings -- here's what I call spikey things: http://community.webshots.com/photo/60274663/63664075Uqbzqb Then, in the purple part (is that the abdomen??), I would use purple thread and do cross-hatching (from one square to the next so it doesn't require any marking).
