IQ Panto Question

Recommended Posts

I have never done this, but since your panto is a repeatable design, I would think you could use path pattern. The placement of the path would depend on where(horizontal plane) your start and end are in the panto. did that make sense?

or you could set up the panto as usual, then use clipping block to remove what you didn't want to sew outside the zig zag pattern. mark on quilt your zig zag block to use for the clipping block. The pattern would not be skewed along the zig zag, but this would work to put your panto in that area.

I would use the "Path Pattern" feature.

You will first have to use Line Pattern to click in the bottom edge of the zigzag. Then that Line pattern will be used as your "path" that the designated pattern will follow.

You'll have to be selective about your patterns as those sharp turns in the zig zag will prevent some patterns from looking good due to overlapping.

If you have the "How to Use Your IQ" book, look on page 44.

I'm calling you here in just a minute (my kidlets just walked in the door from school and are ravenous!)

:)
