shirleyl
After having severe tension issues. Bobbin issues and getting that fixed (my back lash spring fell out). Totally cleaned and oiled, rethreaded and talked nice to Millli. I get beautiful stitches and then all of the sudden I get loose stitches on the top hear a wierd sound in the bobbin area and end up with a wad of top thread on bottom of the quilt. Do I need to retime or what? It mainly happens when going to the left from the front. Or in corners of direction change. But not all the time. It doesn't matter what thread I use either. I have 5 customer quilts to get done and I'm tired of fighting her, she obviously is ill, I just need to fix her. Any recommendations would be appreciated. Quilting Heidi
Shirley, Before you go to retiming I would check your upper thread path and see if you have a grove worn in the pigtail. It sounds like the type of problem you would get with that. The other thing to check is to make sure your needle is in all the way. Also make sure nothing on your hook is moving. Sheri Butler
Also make sure your black rubber wheels on the encoder are pushed "all the way in" the wheels, making good contact! If you've check'd everything out, i'd call apqs in the a.m., maybe you need a part in your "mother board"..I had that happen one time.
