andriko
Hi Folks, can you tell me when you use those ballpoint needles? What thread / fabric in what combination? By error I bought to much ballpoints instead of sharp ones Thanks so much for sharing your experience. Greetings from Switzerland
Guest Linda S
Hi Andrea - I think I would only use a ballpoint needle if I were quilting something that was more of a stretchy sort of fabric (not ideal for longarm quilting). I haven't bought any ballpoint needles and, at this point, am not planning to get any. Linda
sewingupastorm
In addition to being a quilter I am also an avid seamstress. The only use I know of for ballpoint needles is for knits and there are not many quilts that are made of knits. I would suggest you might try to exchange your needles if you can. andriko
for your kind answers. What I wonder now is that, I bought this from a LA article providing side and stated I need it for a Millenium. If those needles were not so much need or usefull for LAs why then are they offered? Guess it will be cheaper to give all my LA pals over here one package as to send them back to US. I am not sure if I would get the customs tax on them. Hey, take care and have a peacefull season.
