quilterbee1
Oh HELP!! Am I doing something wrong, I've got massive thread build up on my cross hatching. It's driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I've watched the videos and bought the book but I'm still not liking what I'm seeing. Is there a direction where I WONT get so much thread build up?? Thank you to whoever can help me, I'm doing a customer quilt and I just hope she doesn't notice it as much as I do. Thank you! Amie
Quilting Heidi
Amie what thread are you using? I normally use a finer thread so I don't notice a huge build up. I try to have the double stitching on the whole row vs just every other section, if that makes sense. What I'm talking about is my travel line to the next cross. I will make sure that when I'm crossing in the other direction that my travel stitching is in the space where I haven't stitched for the first round of stitching. Boy that is so hard to explain in words and have it make sense. I hope it is clear enough for you.

Quilting Heidi
Amie, Yes signature is much thicker. Just make sure you are do the backtracking evenly and it should be fine.
