RoseCity Quilter
I put a level on my table the other day and noticed it is sloping downhill a little. Have not noticed anything wrong other that there is one spot my M&M wheels feel stiff. So my question is what happens if the table is not level? What are the "side effects?" ffq-lar
Usually if the table is out of level it's because something is tweeked or torqued--and that makes for stiff spots in the same place on the rails. Level is good, but the same distance between the rails is important too. If you fix one the other is usually cured as well. Adjust the legs until you are level again and see if the stiff spot goes away. Measure across the rails to check for matching measurements also. Mine needed adjustment several times-- I think due to it settling on the carpet. I guess side effects of a non-level table would be your chocolate sliding off onto the floor? Or your martini sloshing?
elkayr
Mine is not totally level either. When you check for level, are you checking across the rails or down the length? It doesn't seem like I can get level across the width & the length exactly.
