aktbone
Because I do edge to edge quilting, I baste the top, sides and bottom of the quilt sandwich using a zig-zag stitch. My tension is horrible when I do this baste stitch: the top thread is pulled to the back with large loops which catch on the needle plate. When I am actually quilting, my tension is perfect. Any suggestion?
Janette
Try basting in a straight line and see if that helps, as close to the edge as possible about an inch apart. That is how I do it and it works great for me. I use the single stitch control for this.
