dancing bear
I just wanted to write about Superior SoFine #30 weight 100% poly thread (formerly Brytes). I have fallen in love again! I tend to use Magna-Glide because I like the weight and the pretty colors; however, that pretty shiny Magna-Glide is not for all quilts. I have a very traditional quilt on Max right now and I decided to try the #30 weight Superior product and I am so glad I did! It is a bit heavier than the SoFine #50 that a lot of us use. I'm using #1143 In The Buff and it is perfect! Love this slightly thicker thread! After using Magna-Glide, the SoFine #50 just seemed too thin ... And I have the open-toed foot on my machine right now, and it is wonderful! I'm able to do Stitch-in-the-Ditch without too much wandering out of the ditch and into the field ... I can SEE that needle and where it's going. Love this foot!
GrandmaLKB
I like the So Fine #30 (Brytes) too. Also tried the Magnifico.......like it as well, but it is a little shinier. Omni is a nice "cotton look" thicker thread as well.
