Sandra
I am having trouble keeping the power fabric advance securely screwed onto the quilt take-up bar. I have to tighten the hex head screws quite often. Any suggestions? Thanks, Sandra
Guest Linda S
Sandra - is there an 'L' shaped piece of metal hanging from the bottom of your fabric advance motor? My machine is from 2004, so I'm not sure how they are now, but that piece of metal is a clamp that tightens the motor to the frame. If that is good and tight, you shouldn't have to worry about tightening the hex screws that often. The motor will stay in place with that tightened. BethDurand
Sandra, the end of the take up roller isn't round, there is a flat section to it. Take your hex wrench, and loosen the screw that holds it to the bar. Then move the take up roller until you feel the flat section underneath the screw. Tighten again, and you should be good to go.
