chickenscratch
Use some Saran Wrap or Glad Press and seal to make three or four bands around it after you cut off what you need. It does seem to grow as teh air gets to it. I have a roll of wool here that does the same thing
LindaSteller
I don't like the Warm and Natural or Warm and White for a couple of reasons. 1) too flat - people pay me all that money to quilt their quilt and it lacks enough loft to show any definition from my stitches, 2) it really tends to beard - especially if your client brings you a backing that isn't a very tight weave, 3) it produces an amazing amount of lint as I quilt, causing me to have to clean out the machine more often, and I sneeze my head off the whole time I'm quilting with it. I avoid it as much as possible. Stick with 80/20 or wool. You might try Hobbs's new batting which is 80% cotton and 20% wool. It's fabulous.
