alcote
Hi everyone. Haven't visited for a while. I have a millenium 2005. I want to know if there is a way to tighten the hopping foot. I can't seem to find a screw anywhere that gets to it. Any answers?
RunningThreads
Tell us the symptoms. The screw to adjust it is accessed through the hole on the right side cover above the shepherd hook. The hopping must be in it's lowest position to get to the screw through the cover and it doesn't quite line up. If you take the left cover off you can get a better look at what you are doing. If the hopping foot is just sloppy you may have to change out the rocker bushing (very easy) and/or the hopping foot bar bushings (not too bad). I think APQS has changed the rocker block to one with a bearing instead of a bushing since your machine was built. I think the new block was around a hundred dollars when I did the Millie but it is supposed to last almost forever. Nigel
