gmadianem
Figured out the thread shredding issue. Now the top thread is occasionally catching somewhere in the bobbin area and breaking. So far I have cleaned, rethreaded numerous times and adjusted the needle to 6:35, Any other suggestions before I call tomorrow? Thanks!
Busy Quilting
Check the hook retaining finger into the bobbin is not intoo far. The thread has to travel around the bobbin and slide between the end of the hook retaining fnger and the hook for every stitch. This is best seen by removing the needle plate and looking from above. ffq-lar
Check that the hook retaining finger is in the correct position. It's the metal finger that slots into place under the needle plate. It keeps the bobbin assembly from rotating. If it's in too far, the thread will be pinched and break. Make sure it's in the slot only far enough to stop the rotation. Sue Petitjean
Just got my Millie also and had the same problem. Types of thread require different routing. When I changed the routing through the 3 holes it worked.
