quilterkp
For those of you who quilt as a business, how are you set up: sole proprietorship, LLC or something else?
judyday
I am not in quilting business however i am an accountant. Really only familiar with texas law for taxing entities. If i were to be in business i would form an LLC. IRS allows you to be taxed as a corporation or as a partnetship. You can be a single member llc and be taxed on your 1040. that is a very abreviated version of an answer. Talk to an accountant in south Carolina for their advice. The main thing you want is liability protection when you are dealing with the unknown public. Good luck. I hope im good enough one day to quilt for the publuc.
