Screws on cover plate too tall, snags basting stitches

Hello everyone! I’ve got a brand new Millie and the screws in the baseplate are so tall that they snag anything on the underside of the quilt top. I’m doing a custom crossstitched baby quilt and this will prove disastrous! Is there a way to change screws that will sit flush with the plate? I loved my old rulermate and wish I could retrofit it to my new machine. I don’t think Donita Reeves makes these anymore ☹️ Thanks, Tammy

I just jumped on apqs fb and did a search. I found out that the top of the baseplate has recessed screw holes. Solves my problem!
