callen Posted April 1, 2005 Report Share Posted April 1, 2005 Hi .Iam a new quilter and i was wondering if you ladies have trouble when you get all done quilting that the borders look a little puffy. will this go out after it lays flat for a while. or what am I doing wrong it is just around the edges its between the stitches in the borders. any help on this matter would be appreciated. i read this site all the time and have learn alot from you. thank again connie Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
busybee Posted April 2, 2005 Report Share Posted April 2, 2005 Sometime it is because of the top. When it was sewn it was pulled or stretched when sewn. If you lay the quilt top out on a flat surface or floor. You can see if it does not lay flat in some spots. I try not to sewn it by pulling on the fabric which helps.
