kristycombs
I have been asked to Head up a Quilt Show, July of 2008. Are there any helps available? Suggested guidelines, anything. I really don't know where to start. Any helps would be appreciated. I have a Millie, just over a year. Really enjoy finishing my quilts!!
annlittle1
I don't know if there are any guidelines out there for putting on a quilt show. You might try to contact someone from another guild and see if they could give you any ideas. How about AQS, maybe they have some guidelines. After working on the quilt committee for our local quilt guild I can tell you that it takes lots of planning, lots of willing volunteers, and the ability to delegate responsibilities. ffq-lar
Hi kristy-- Things to consider for a successful show---- Venue Volunteers Advertising Quilt hanging Quilt intake, pick-up and security. Insurance Could you supply more info as to size of show and number of potential helpers? Not to discourage you, but a show is a big undertaking. Google quilt show instructions for an overview of other quilt shows. A small show in a church or a show set up in a friendly business is easiest. Send me a U2U with more info and I will be glad to help you out.
