Mary Beth
Speaking of stinky...my mom bought this top at an auction, I\'m sure it was in a box of stuff. The fabric has disintegrated in parts. Made with silks and such, and judging by the pattern I would say late 1800\'s, early 1900\'s. Wow does it smell. Like dust. I\'m afraid to handle it much for fear it will just disappear. I don\'t really know what to do with it, don\'t really want it....I guess I\'ll let my kids worry about it some time...
Mary Beth
Speaking of your child\'s quilt. I read where you can tell by the design of the animal, the age of the qult. Here is one I picked up when I bought the other two. The animals are definately old, just not sure how ole.

Mary Beth
All three of these quilts were in excellent shape. I stopped bidding because I didn\'t want to get carried away, but DH prodded me on. I\'m so glad he did that!!
