Sylvia
Hello fellow APQSers I have been asked to quilt a camdlewicked quilt. The center is simple - it is from a kit and is premarked for cross hatching. However,I would like some wonderful ideas about how to nicely finish off the areas around the candlewicking itself. Meandering might not be quite enough. Thanks for any suggestions you may provide. Sylvia
quiltmonkey
Sylvia, can you post a picture of it here for us to see? That might help give you ideas. I searched Webshots "candlewick, quilt" and this is what popped up. Perhaps you can get ideas here? http://www.webshots.com/search?query=candlewick%2C+quilt&new=1&source=search_results_top
ramona-quilter
Hi Sylvia - I have only seen one of these candlewick quilts. It was so stunning that I still remember it. Barbara Tucker (bstucker) quilted it maybe 1 or 2 years ago. I think you can put "bstucker" and "the beginning" in the APQS search engine and come up with it. It was beautiful. Or you might check Barb's webshots bstucker101. Found it: http://www.apqs.com/quiltboard/viewthread.php?tid=3459&page=1#pid25925
