dtreusch
Hi all. I have a question about the hopping foot. Should the needle be centered in the hopping foot? I noticed tonight that my needle is slightly to the left of the center. Thanks Deb
SherryRogers
Hi Deb Your needle should be centered in the middle of your hopping foot. You can adjust this by loosening the screw that holds the foot (refer to your manual) make the adjustment and then tighten it very well. Holler if you need further assistance. dtreusch
I fished around the hole for several hours over the weekend and was unable to find the screw. Any advice? Can I take off the side panel to adjust the hopping foot? Thanks, Deb
ckirk
Shine a flashlight on the left side of the machine head (needle end of the machine) near the handwheel and look in the machine on the right side. You will see the screw.
Jerri
I shine a flashlight in the slot for the thread takeup - then you can see the tip of your screwdriver - it makes it much easier. Hope this helps....

SherryRogers
Good tip Jerri. You may also need to move the hand wheel up or down slowly to find that little culprit!
dtreusch
Great advice ladies!! The flashlight light up that hard to find screw and I had the adjustment done in a matter of minutes. Thanks so much for the help!!
HoosierQuilts
It takes a pretty small screw driver to get into that slot . If the screw driver is to large, it will go into the hole but just slide over the slot of the screw . J?rgen
