Joma
Hello APQS Family, now I'm practicing some butterflies and flowers for a new quilt, I use the SR set at 11 stitches per inch, no problems, thought I could make nicer curves, when increasing the stitches per inches, above 12 or 13 stitches the SR stops working properly, machine is heavier to move, and I have great stitches, I have included a picture, left wing is done with SR at 11 stitches, right wing SR at 13 or even a little more... I have tried again and again, 11 stitches is the maximum for working nice is there a limitation?
Katydids
It looks like the stitches on the right were done at the lowest setting or around 7 - 8 SPI. When the machine is set at this, it is a bit heavier to move as it is taking longer to fire stitches. It is also harder to make smooth curves. It looks like somehow maybe internally things are reversed. What happens when you set the machine about 7-9 SPI??
Quilting Heidi
I think Patty is onto something. You should check to make sure your encoder wheel is engaged properly as well. it might be slipping.
