  1. I wish APQS would create a base like the Ruler Mate, since Donita isn't consistent with customer service. I think they still sell the Hartley Base, but it just doesn't fit as well. I have a Ruler Mate on both of my Millenniums and they are never removed.
  2. Thanks Zeke. I use 5.57 myself. Bonnie was using 5.07. Is the hot key issue the only difference? Sorry, but I don't know how to use the messenger. I'll send you an email instead.
  3. My sister upgraded to CompuQuilter many years ago and I thought she'd sold all her paper patterns. When cleaning out her condo this week I came across a large bag of patterns! (Among many other things.) 28 patterns, all very good designs. $195 for all 28 includes free Priority Mail shipping. That's $7 each and free shipping. Small Fleurs (Dave Hudson) drawn out in two rows Whirlygig Small (Jodi Beamish) 2 rows Whirlygig Large (Jodi Beamish) 2 x Morning Glory Small (Norma Sharp?) drawn out in two rows Oriental Illusion Small (Norma Sharp) 2 rows Oriental Illusion (Norma Sharp) Feather Meandering 14" (Linda Taylor) Floral Meander 11" (Dave Hudson) Floral Meander 15" (Dave Hudson) Falling Leaves 11" (Dave Hudson) 2 x Interlocking Daisy Chain (Bonnie Borseth) 2 rows Interlocking Medium Meander (Darlene Epp) with registration lines for aligning next row Interlocking Shooting Stars (Bonnie Borseth) Interlocking Drifting Leaves (Darlene Epp) Pansy (?) 2 hand drawn interlocking rows Starry Night (Dave Hudson?) 2 rows Daisies & Loops 15" (Sue Schmeiden) Ink Blot in 2 sizes (Jodi Beamish) Meandering Hearts (Dave Hudson) Daisies (?) 2 rows Butterfly Charm (Lorien Designs) Butterfly (Keryn Emmerson) ABC (Dave Hudson) Formal Garden (Meredith England) Safari Wholecloth (Judy Lyon) Liana (Lorien Designs) Paisley (Norma Sharp) Oak Morning 8" (Kim Darwin)

  5. I need the CompuQuilter Manual V5.57. It's on one of my CQ computers, but refuses to transfer to a USB stick or a CD disc! Any chance you have it and can put it in a zip file for me? I've sold my sister's 2004 machine and she was still running the original software. I'm in the process of upgrading CQ to the belt drive and really need that manual. MUCH APPRECIATED if you have it! eppd at telus dot net
  6. Thank you! I think I'll just bite the bullet and mail her a base for the Millie. I ordered a couple of extras in January, which I got very quickly. I don't know what the problem is with one for the Lucey. Puzzling.
  7. Hi Linzi, I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying you have a Millie without the thread cutter? Or that .......... ??
  8. No, it's not good customer service. I feel like I'm partly responsible because I showed her my Ruler Mate base and recommended it to her. She lives a good 8 hours drive from me, so I can't just run over with a MIllie base to see if it would work. Mailing something like this heavy base in Canada is not cheap, like it would be in the States. PLUS, she needs to get her money back, but is not getting any help from Donita. I may have to resort to calling her myself to see if I can't some satisfaction for my customer. My e-mails have gone unanswered, so I'm hoping to get through on the phone.
  9. Thanks for the response Linzi. The problem is that my customer ordered & paid for a Ruler Mate for her new Lucey last summer. It was shipped to her in November, but didn't fit. She was told to send it back to be "re-tooled". After MANY phone calls and e-mails, she is still waiting for it to be sent back to her. I just wondered if anyone else has been successful in getting a Ruler Mate for a Lucey machine. She's out $149 US PLUS all the shipping and taxes. She really NEEDS this base as she wants to get into custom work, and just can't do a good job of SID work without it. I sure wish there were more options for a base that fits OVER the throat plate area. I wonder if a Millennium base would work. ?? I can't see any reason why it wouldn't.
  10. Has anyone on the forum been successful when ordering a Ruler Mate base for their Lucey machine?
  11. I've posted instructions on my website on how to attach the zippers from The Quilting Connection. There are a few steps I added to their instructions to make the job very easy! I'm pretty sure this would work no matter which zippers you use. This file is a rich text Word document with colored pictures, so give it time to download. Save it to your Documents folder, then Open & Print for future reference. http://trilliumhousedesigns.danemcoweb.com/tips/ I've looked at all the other systems for attaching a quilt to the leaders and haven't seen ANYthing that would even tempt me to change from the zipper system. I LOVE it!
  12. Hi Lib, I'm as close as your phone. 847-9500 IT sounds like you've got a loose connection somewhere. But I would also have said to phone Amy at APQS. 1-800-426-7233 Don't wait for days when something like this happens. Amy is there for a reason, and it's to help YOU.
  13. Hi Sue, If you check out the Road Show link on the Home page, you can see all the dates for the different shows. The Everett Show is June 15th. There is another one in Spokane on the 16th.
  14. Hi Sandra, I think it's sort of like asking for pictures of the inner workings of the stitch regulator, or what's happening behind the wall when you turn the light switch on. We can show you the results, but it's difficult to take a "picture" of what's going on in places where you can't see.
  15. The Hartley Extended Base WILL fit an Ultimate 1 with thread cutter. The heads are exactly the same size.
