  1. I have a 2008 Millie and was sewing along fine. Then the thread rock and stopped to check bobbin and rethread it but hand wheel won’t turn the gears and machine can’t turn them either. Bobbin case came out easily and looks fine. What could be the problem?

  2. I am having issues with the bobbin thread inside the bobbin case unwinding when I am using the Millie machine. The thread looks like the bobbin spins in reverse when stopped. I have tried different bobbins the wound thread on the bobbin looks good.  Have replaced the spring inside the case. I am sure it is something simple. Tried the little fingers on spring up and down in case. Not sure anymore which way is right.

  3. Thanks for the reply perhaps you can tell me how to fix it. The motor runs just fine but when it winds thread the thread wants to wind mostly on one side of bobbin. If I try to move bobbin more to center of tension line up then the little arm will not engage on bobbin is one of my problems. Then other times the thread loosely winds on bobbin , like it isn’t turning fast enough even though the wheel is engaged. I checked the tension disk but does not resolve issue. I have tried moving the big wheel closer to the rubber grommet things on the spindle of the motor which helps the thread wind better but then something on the motor makes screeching  noise. Which maybe too much pressure on the rubber grommet things so I back it off which takes me back to my initial problem.

  4. Yep like above do what you can and she will be happy with being able to still make quilts. I have one who is only in her sixties and she is a hot mess I tell her why her quilt looks the way it does because of her techniques and she is okay with that so I am trying to be okay with that too and not stress over perfection with her quilts. As long as she is happy  I am happy. Most other customers already know her style and not judge my efforts of how the quilt turns out.

  5. This is what I do. I have a 2x6 piece of quilt sandwich I use. I put the one fabric end on back bar and use a magnetic bar I got from harbor freight. Then bring the other end over the front take up bar. You can use  clips or bar  to hold in place but I usually just hold it by leaning against the fabric. Then I can move my machine onto the sandwich and work with my stitching adjustment. Most of my quilts use the same batting. The sample quilt is easily removed or put back on when needed. Then go back to quilting the real one. Just an idea have also stitched on side like mentioned above.

  6. Trying to get a good tension balance for white thread on top and black thread on bottom. Still getting a peak of black on top especially where I change direction. I literally stop before changing so as not to pull bottom thread up. Am I trying to do something not possible. If so what would you recommend that would let thread blend. The back is pretty much black with little dots of color. The front is mostly white with pastel colors.

  7. Seems the connection to stitch regulator inside the body wiggles because the two little lights do not stay lit when moving the machine or the wire. When stitching I am getting long stitches only in vertical direction going up and down. My machine is a 2008 Millie. How would you fix this and is this really my problem causing the long stitches? I can run machine manually and it stitches fine.
