Neher-in-law5
What is Myrna's floral film and how is it used? Where do you get it? Thanks for the info.
quiltmonkey
Hi. It's a roll of cellophane that is about a yard wide and comes in a big huge roll. Florists use it to wrap the bouquets. I think you can purchase these at florist supply places. I saw Myrna use it to lay across the quilt top to audition quilting designs using her dry or wet erase pens. She can wipe off and audition other designs, so you can re use it. I found a link but I'm sure there are more places to order. The "Clearphane Celloroll" I think is what Myrna has. http://www.floralsupply.com/cat.cgi?s=CELLOROLL&c=wrap http://www.floralsupply.com/sub_cellorolls.htm
patsloan
I've used press-n-seal for the same thing. It's at the grocery store. You just have to be careful you don't smear that ink into the fabric
quiltingbykaren
I use clear plastic - the kind you would use for a picnic table - from JoAnns. One hint - edge the whole thing with blue masking tape so you don't accidentally write on your quilt!! Karen
Quiltsinmotion
I tried to use the clear from Joanns bought the two different weights but could not get the dry eraser pen marks off so after watching Myrna's DVD I went to the florist shop and got 10 yds for 1.00 per yard [much cheaper then JoAnns ] then you can use it for a couple of times depending on size of quilt then just toss it so much easier I think just my 2 cents
Neher-in-law5
Thanks for all the responses. I may just have to go visit my daughter's sister-in-law at her shop in town. That would be a lot easier to see what would look good.
SandraC
I get sort of star-struck when I see some of the people we get to rub elbows with on this forum! Pat Sloan...your fabric is my favourite! I'm so looking forward to your new line coming out in a few weeks! Is it almost ready? I have pre-ordered the kit and am so looking forward to it! We don't see your fabrics around here too much so when I showed my quilt last month at guild that I had just finished, you should have heard the oohs and aahs over the fabrics. Koodo's to you!
