TracyeQ
Janette, I started out on a Proto. It was a great machine, just not as maneuverable as I wanted for the type of quilting I do, so I sold it for my Freedom SR. It ran any thread I threw at it with pretty stitches. It was a great starter machine. That being said, I think I was lucky my machine was so great. Some gals had problems with theirs and the customer service wasn't anywhere near as fabulous as APQS. Corey
I do know that Diane Keepers quilts on it and she loves it, she was one of my teachers in Longarm University in 2007. I really dont know much about it though. APQS has the best cutomer service and this chatroom is one of their venues. Corey APQS Millenium
DoryJM
I almost bought a Proto..in fact, after going to Longarm U, my DH and I stopped by Dianne's house to check them out. They looked good, but customer service was the big issue for me. I live in the sticks, so I have to be able to do most things myself.
