chickenscratch
I am posting pictures of a challenge quilt I just mailed away. It is for the Keepsake Quilting Challenge, and the fabrics were very hard to work with. They were: 1)Camoflauge print 2) Burgandy woodgrain 3) Wild bright repeating strip (I used it for the letters and the frame) 4) Owls print 5)grey trees print I added one fabric (a piece of white 100% cotton PFD) that I did colorwash on part of to get some colors I havent' figured out how to post multiple pictures in one listing, so I'll do four. Please tell me what you think. Teresa www.chickenscratchquilting.com
chickenscratch
The bobbin thread colors were the same as the top thread colors, so I have a quilt of sorts on the back.
sspingler
That is gorgeous!! Personally I think it needs some quilting in the rock. If it hangs for any length of time, the unquilted area will begin to sag......but I love what you did.

CherylUribe
Wonderful Teresa! I have been wanting to make a wilderness type of quilt for a friends cabin. I am guessing that this is your original pattern? It is beautiful! Good luck with the contest! Cheryl
chickenscratch
Thanks to all for your kind comments. Once it was all finished I also thought maybe it needed something on the green hill in the foreground, but I was out of time and out of patience, so I sent it like it was. At least I learned that I can create a picture on the back with the bobbin threads. That was the thing I was trying to learn to do. Also, I did some creative things with some really strange fabrics, which is kind of neat. Teresa www.chickenscratchquilting.com
