njquiltergirl
Hi. My printer said I need to provide "vector line art" for the feathered wreath design I want. Dover Publishing, the clip-art people, does not have one. Does anyone have a source? Thanks! Lisa APQS Liberty
Bonnie
Lisa where did you get your design that you are wanting to do. Vector is a solid pixal printout.... when doing digitizing for embroidery it was kept in the back of my mind Vector = Victory and "Rastor is wrong" Rastor prints are pixals that lay close together, but don't touch. If you have a design and you can trace it solid your printer may be able to use that...ask them.
Tet
Download a copy of Inkscape from http://www.inkscape.org File -> Import... will let you load your current image. Path -> Trace Bitmap... will covert the raster image to a vector path. You now have two objects, a vector path, sat on top of a raster image. Drag the path out of the way. Click on the raster image, and press Delete. File -> Save As... will let you save the path in a vector format. Your printer probably won't handle Inkscape's native SVG format, so select Encapsulated PostScript from the file type menu.
