Butterfly
Okay, so my stitching around applique is still not too wonderful and I've just been given a special quilt to quilt. The woman used her daughters clothing that she wore when she was young to make up the dresses and bonnets on each block. She also button hole stitched by hand around each Sue. Are there any alternatives to SID around each little Sue? Or do I need to keep ppp-ing and just do it? Jessica
SandraG
Have you tried turning off your SR and using a guide? I use DeLoa's appli-guide and love it. Sandra
Bonnie
Amen....to appli-guides....are such a time saver for me as well. I also us the guide to space myself in echoing as I can see that better on my older machine than just using the foot.
Quilting Heidi
DeLoa's appliguide is great for this and you don't have to turn off the SR if you don't want to. Personally I like to use my microdrives and I made foam boots on them. That gives me great control to go around applique. I go slow and I want my stitches nestled right next to the applique.
