quiltaholi_518
I thought this was happeniong in the winter due to static buildup, but it's warm and humid now, and happening alot! The thread is jumping out of that first pigtail on my Liberty, and then it gets caught in the crack between the front panel and the body of the machine. Then of course breakage and tension havok ensues. It seems to happen more in S/R mode, but it will happen also in regular mode, not as often. I have tried tightening the top tension as much as I can thinking there was too much slack, but to no avail. Any ideas? Sould I add another pigtail like I have seen some do? MarieBrewer
My thread has caught several times at the same location you are talking about. My solution was to put a piece of blue painters tape on the "crack" between the body and the front piece of metal. Haven't had a problem since but it isn't pretty.
