lizziesgirl
There is a local lady who did a quilt that is absolutely stunning and I feel that she should enter into national shows. I know shows for machine quilting but what shows are best for the hand quilter?
quiltmonkey
Are you asking if there is a "hand quilting only" show? I don't know of any but probably there are some out there. But, oh gosh, she can pretty much enter them in any of the national or state shows that don't have the word "Machine" in it. Houston, Road to CA, Paducah---NQA, The Quilt Festivals, any of the AQS shows...any of the Mancuso shows. Her world of choices is gigantic. lizziesgirl
That's what I was wondering Shana. I know of MQA but wasn't sure about the others. This quilt is unbelievable and her applique work is stunning. Thanks for your help.
kennan100
Houston has categories for handquilters, although there aren't is many entries in it as in the past. BUT the ones there are incredible. Most entries now are machine quilted in one way or another. Houston would be a great show to enter. This years show starts any minute now, but she'd be good for next year. I think Road to CA is the next show.
