I wonder if there is any needed for the auto advance motor and such. I did not see any info in the manual about it. Thanks! ffq-lar Posted October 27, 2009 Report Share Posted October 27, 2009 Hi Lisa, You will need to replace the brush in the motor eventually. Den checked my motor this summer and it was worn about a third. My machine is a 2004 and has had medium use (100 quilts a year) since then. Replace the brush before you start to have problems with the connection--much cheaper to replace than the whole motor. Other than that, mine gets dusty and I use my compressor to get the dust off.
