Julia Rockwell
Help! I finished a quilt about a week ago and everything was fine. Now I went to sew again and all I am getting is a major birds nest of thread underneath. The bobbin will pop out and it's all a mess. What happened? I have some customers coming up and really need to get this fixed.
Quilting Heidi
Check your thread path first. Probably something came out of a guide or something. Also check bobbin thread path.
mark
Hi Julia, If the bobbin won't stay in, then check to see if you have threads wrapped around the post inside of the hook assembly or in the hook somewhere. Also make sure that you have the thread down inbetween the tension disks so you have tension on the top thread. If so, start tightening down the top tension to draw up you threads under your quilt to the top so you don't have the birds nests! If all fails, make sure and call in and speak to Amy or Christi and they will get you going! Good luck
Kay Anderson
Be sure you check your tension check spring. It may not be threaded or it may be broken.
