help!! machine jammed

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm posting because I need some ideas and I can't wait until monday...

I have a millie (last year model). Yesterday I was making a customer quilting with the regulator stitch on. It was going well until the machine started to make long stitches and then stopped by itself. So I was buring the threads and suddenly the machine jammed with the needle down on my customer quilt. I already tried to turn off the machine and tried to lift it up manually.

The problem is that I still have some quilts to make before christmas.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks for you attention,

Cecilia

PS: I think my millie is trying to say that she wants some vactions :D

Try moving the flywheel by hand to move the needle up. If you cannot, it might be that you will need to break the needle with a pair of pliers in order to free things up. Breaking the needle (on purpose)is a hard thing to do. Ask me how I know this !

Best of luck. It is frustrating especially whwn you have more quilt tops to do.

I wished that the thread is wrapped around the hook but it's not.... and I already tried to move the flywheel by hand...

How I didn't thought about removing the needle??:D (That's why I love this forum so much!! We can always people who can help you out)

I hope it works!

Thanks both of you!!
